The women at the Protection of the Virgin Mary (PTVM) Orthodox Church are a nurturing community for women seeking spiritual growth, fellowship, and connection within the Church. Our activities include a Women’s Reading Group that meets periodically to explore Orthodox books and deepen our understanding of the faith, and the Women’s Sodality. Together, we encourage one another in our journeys as Orthodox Christian women, fostering a supportive space to grow closer to Christ and build meaningful relationships.
Let’s be honest—without the women of the parish, PTVM would fall apart faster than a cookie in a glass of milk! From staffing coffee hour like seasoned baristas, to baking prosphora with the precision of liturgical artisans, to orchestrating events that run smoother than a well-oiled censer, the women of PTVM are the invisible (and often very visible) backbone of parish life. We may read books, but we also know how to roll up our sleeves and get things done—because someone has to keep the parish running while the men are discussing theology over pancakes!
